SSC JHT Vacancy 2025: Apply for 437 Translator Jobs

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced new government job openings for Junior Hindi Translator (JHT) and other translator roles. There are a total of 437 vacancies for various posts like Junior Translation Officer (JTO), Junior Translator, Senior Hindi Translator (SHT), and Senior Translator (ST).

Interested students and job seekers can apply online for these ‘Sarkari Naukri’ (government jobs) from June 5, 2025 , to June 26, 2025 . All applications must be submitted through the official SSC website, ssc.gov.in .

Application Fees

  • For General, OBC, and EWS candidates: ₹100

Eligibility and Post Details

The qualifications needed depend on the specific post. Candidates must have:

  • Master’s Degree: In Hindi (with English as a compulsory subject at degree level), OR in English (with Hindi as a compulsory subject at degree level), OR in any subject (with English medium) and Hindi as a compulsory subject at degree level.
  • Additional Qualification:
    • For Junior Translator (JHT/JTO/JT) posts (including those in CSOLS, AFHQ, and various Ministries): A recognized Diploma/Certificate in Translation (Hindi to English and English to Hindi), OR 2 years of translation experience.
    • For Senior Translator (SHT/ST) posts: A recognized Diploma/Certificate in Translation (Hindi to English and English to Hindi), OR 3 years of translation experience.
    • For SSC Sub Inspector (Hindi Translator) in CRPF : A recognized Diploma/Certificate in Translation (Hindi to English and English to Hindi), OR 3 years of translation experience.

Physical Standards (Only for SSC Sub Inspector in CRPF)

  • Male Candidates: Height: 165 CM , Chest: 77-82 CM (77 CM unexpanded, 82 CM expanded).
  • Female Candidates: Height: 155 CM .

Selected candidates will receive salary as per the government’s Pay Matrix:
