What CTET Qualification Means (Not a Job Directly)
CTET is an eligibility test , not a direct job offer. Passing the CTET exam makes you eligible to apply for teaching jobs in schools run by the Central Government (like KVS, NVS, etc.) and some State Governments. These schools offer various teaching positions (e.g., Primary Teacher, Trained Graduate Teacher) with specific pay scales.
For example, teachers who qualify and get selected for jobs in central government schools typically receive salaries within the range of ₹9,300 to ₹34,800 , along with a Grade Pay of ₹4200 (for Class 1-5 teachers) or ₹4600 (for Class 6-8 teachers) . Other allowances are also provided as per government rules.
CTET Selection Process
The process to qualify for CTET involves these steps:
- Appearing for the Written Exam .
- Being included in the Merit List based on exam performance.
- Document Verification for successful candidates.
