Eligibility Criteria and Application Fee
To apply for these posts, candidates needed specific educational qualifications and had to meet certain age limits. Candidates should have been between 18 and 40 years old as of August 01, 2025 .
Required Qualifications for Each Post:
- IT Officer: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or similar engineering fields.

- Rajbhasha Adhikari: Master’s Degree in Hindi with English as a subject, or Master’s in Sanskrit with Hindi and English as subjects at degree level.

The application fee was ₹850 for General, OBC, and EWS candidates. For SC, ST, and PH candidates, the fee was ₹175 .
Exam Pattern and Selection Process
The IBPS SO selection process has three main stages:
- Prelims Written Exam: Candidates first take a preliminary exam.

- For Rajbhasha Adhikari: This exam has two parts: Professional Knowledge (Objective) with 45 questions for 60 marks in 30 minutes, and Professional Knowledge (Descriptive) with 2 questions in 30 minutes.
Salary Details
Selected Specialist Officers will receive a pay scale starting from around ₹48,480 . Other allowances will be given as per government rules and regulations.
